Paade Mode S/S 2019

Paade Mode S/S 2019
Yesterday I got a beautiful e mail. Content was a sneak peek of the very new Spring/Summer collection for 2019 from Paade Mode. (a brand I feature since the very beginning and that I truly enjoy)

The collection is called INSIDE out and has a philosophical meaning of the fragile nature of things kept secret, but that are just about to break out.

Soft pastels are contrasted with strong colours and bold details. Paade Mode’s original prints are layered with lace and finished with ribbons – the statement match of the collection. And once again the brand offers 4 different moods to dress perfectly for every occasion.

The RESORT segment is elegant. The SECRET GARDEN PARTY is girly and frivolous with romantic cuts, ruffles and lace. The HIGH STREET collection features a mix of contrasting elements, like delicate tulle with knits and casual jeans. The ATELIER segment is the perfect finish, brimming with luxury lounge wear and the perfect party dresses for festive outings, graduations, or weddings.

I cannot wait to see all the details next week during Pitti Bimbo.

The key pieces of the collection: Elegant and soft tailored dresses. Feminine cuts, ruffles, lace and
flower prints for romantic summer outfits. Contrasting colours and mix of fabrics for urban outfits. Luxury lounge wear and party dresses for festive occasions.

The Paade Mode girl or boy has her/his own passion and great personality. Usually a real wild spirit, who does not care about perfect looks, but considers clothes as part of an imaginary world.

Welcome to this magnificent Swedish kids room

swedish kids room
After a stop in Finland last week we are back in Sweden and I found this beautiful place that I cannot wait to share with you here today. Karin Boo Wiklander lives here with her family.

An architectural house in Lerum, close to Gothenborg. Together with her husband David and their children Alicia and Gustaf. Karin is the Inhouse Manager for Boråstapeter, a lovely wallpaper company that I featured on the blog some time ago., She is also freelancing as a photographer and stylist.

And touring her home shows you that interior is her passion and her home must be a never ending project.

A beautiful spacious home!

We are focusing on the kids rooms. Painted in dark shades and furnished with white pieces for the contrast. The shelf desk from String is a classic and a great solution for big and small.

The dresser is from Oliver Furniture and very versatile.

Scandinavian brands throughout the rooms. The canopy and quilt are both from Cam Cam for example. The bed is from Oliver Furniture again.

What do you think? Inspired? I would love to try out grey on the walls… so far we just stick to white because it always works. Maybe in the future, on a day where I will feel ‘adventurous’ haha…

Organic kids wear from Matona

Matona

Good Morning! This Monday we are staying close by and I have this beautiful small brand called MATONA. A family run kids wear label based in Vorarlberg/ Austria.

The founders are dedicated to sustainable, aimless and clever design. Made from 100% organic Hemp fabrics that are dyed with GOTS certified colours.

Hemp you wonder?! Hemp fibers are the strongest natural fibers and make long lasting as well as beautiful garments.
In addition the fiber can absorb and dispense moisture very fast. The material suppresses odours and offers a good UV protection.

Hemp also requires far less water than growing cotton and you do not need any pesticides since hemp has a unique resistance against pests. These are a lot of very important points that play a big role when thinking about fashion and our earth!

Kuum Wooden Toy Blocks

Kuum Wooden Toy Blocks
Kuum from the block! Totally in love with these super sleek, stylish and colourful wooden blocks.

KUUM is a collection of 202 building blocks crafted from beech tree wood that come in beautifully arranged units of 12 pieces. Each unit is infused with the stories of 12 elements and each unique piece embodies a small fragment of nature.

The 36 units express fundamental elements of rich Japanese nature like pebbles, twigs, and sea shells. And the 12 block units represent these themes: soil, fire, flower, tree, mountain, sea, ice, stone, earth, moon, sun and sand. With that they become a part of something larger and special. And even after being built, they will still remind us of the beautiful, original elements.

The lengths and angles of each piece have been carefully calculated and designed to maximize the number of combinations possible.

The block units consist of 36 unique shapes and colours. These include flat boards, thin rods, L-shaped and U-shaped blocks that fit snugly, as well as unstable pieces, which you can stack to produce a wobbly structure.

Their appealing colours and shapes will instantly inspire you to pick them up and start building. The pieces will enable you to use building blocks in ways you never thought possible in order to create colourful and unique objects. The possibilities are truly infinite. Each set comes with a card showing some ideas of what you can achieve with one theme.

KUUM is developed in collaboration with monogoto, a creative firm in Portland, USA.

June Isle Clothier

June Isle Clothier
Mums! I know this is a blog dedicated to children. The finds and latest news for our little ones. But, being a mum of four myself, I know how nice it is to find something lovely in between for myself!

Because seriously my kids are often better dressed than me.

So when I discovered June Isle that caters for mums and little people. Well! Things were golden!

You can clearly see how the brand takes its inspiration from nature. Simple designs, using quality materials and creating long-lasting pieces that will transition easily from season to season.
Everything is locally made by seamstresses in British Columbia, Canada. (there is something with Canada this week)

All high quality fabrics are from natural fibres, like 100% pure European linen as well as organic certified, OEKO-TEC approved, hemp and cotton fabric blends. Which are then dyed naturally.

‘We are passionate about traceability, sustainability, ethical practice as well as ensuring that giving back is built into the company’s DNA. We value the art of simplicity and integrity. The concept that less is more, and that buying with intention and integrity is possible. We make clothes you can feel good about!’

Margot and Elise, a mother and daughter duo, launched June Isle in the Spring of 2017. They started by designing simple linen children’s wear. Which was so well received that they expanded into the world of women’s wear. By designing multi functional garments that can be worn by women of all ages including nursing mothers.

I love the shapes, the simplicity and colour palette. Timeless, chic and versatile!
