A breezy dream home with airy dream kids rooms

airy dream kids rooms
The three best friends Bonnie, Lana & Erin from three birds renovations just finished one big project. Bonnie’s dream home.

Bonnie has four children, a dog and a big house that was just turned into the home she always dreamed about.
You can see all revealed rooms as well as ‘before’ pictures here and get a glimpse how a big that project was.

She’s been dreaming about this for over a decade and planned for the last 5 years. Bonnie started cataloguing ideas in her mind of what she would do one day if it were her home! And this is the result. Including some seriously cool kids rooms…

And yes there is a lot of ‘dream’ all over here but wow… I mean. This is a very special house… including some dream kids rooms!

Totally in love with those tiles. All of them. Love the colours, shapes and how they work together! And a special wash station for the dogs? How cool is that?

What do you think about this project? Anything you will take away for your own catalogue called ‘My future dream home’?

Zuri House

Zuri House
Good Morning! Today would be a good day to ask me how I juggle work and family life. Two of my kids are at home, because of a study day (tomorrow another one will be home because of a study day) and I have plenty to do. It will be a short week because on Wednesday I am heading off to Pitti Bimbo. And then directly over to London for Dot to Dot.
The laundry is running too and we have two extra guests in the house – guinea pigs – that the kids are taking care of for a while. But as so often: The craziness is ‘crazy’ but also exactly what we asked for and what makes every day a special day. I am sure you know what I mean.

But lets change the topic because I stumbled upon Zuri House over the week end. Those giant crochet dolls caught my eye and there are many lovely goodies for the kids room in Ola’s shop full of handmade knitted and crocheted Nordic home accessories too.

Zuri House was born out out of the belief that the products that surround us have direct influence over our well-being and emotions. Taking pride in ourselves on our authentic, pure ecologically clean and beautiful craft. We value the work of human hands and original ideas. We like to play with colours and experiment with materials. All our ideas come together under the roof of Zuri House. Offering delightful products and a high quality of design and craft.

Friday! I just attended the ‘End of School Year’ ceremony at my kids’ school. This year my eldest graduated from PYP and Leonor from pre-school. Milestones. Big steps. For everyone. For the kids but also for us…

But first summer!

And first a little outing to the far east. Japan! It’s been a while that I showed you a cool brand from the land of the rising sun. Therefore I have an especially cool one.

Japanese label “nunuforme” launched its first collection in 2014. Their collections are driven by two key words : fashionable and casual.

Discover some truly unique cuts that are rarely used in children’s fashion.

All the products from nunuforme are made in Japan by experts to guarantee the best quality. Oversize, minimal, rich of details and just really cool.

The silhouettes are interesting. Very chic and yet comfortable due to the roomy shapes. Everything can easily be dressed down … or up… depending on your agenda!

Love it and I think it is a great inspiration to take into the week end.

See you back on Monday. Same spot, more beauty!

Omoloko

Omoloko
The other day I was thinking about linen and how many brands are into linen these days. It is a beautiful fabric, so light and comfortable to wear and it just looks great. Personally, I have quite a few items in my own wardrobe as well and I love them.

It is more expensive yes, but it lasts forever and gets better and better with time.

And yes, today I have another wonderful small brand that I want to share with you and that embraced the natural wonders of linen.
OMOLOKO – a stylish clothing for children from natural flax.

In case you wonder – flax is the world’s only natural fiber. During spinning the flax plant is transformed into yarns of various weights and looks. Linen fabric is made from the cellulose fibers that grow inside of the stalks of the flax plant.

Omoloko is based in Kharkiv, Ukraine and was launched by Iryna Avetisyan. It was her daughter who asked her mum, who was sitting at the sewing machine, to sew something for her. The next two days Iryna spent to sew a dress for her little girl.
