A fantastic piece of art can make a child’s bedroom or a playroom come alive immediately. And it is one of the most cost-effective and quickest changes you can make as well.

Spring often inspires us to bring some fresh new items inside. And since we spend so much time in our four walls right now, I thought this would be a nice article for you this week. So why not opting for a little interior project?

Below are my favourite picks that your kids will enjoy on their walls for years. Please find some very artsy, some colourful prints, or delicate illustrations in my selection. As usual: Something for everyone. And some prints are not for the kids’ rooms only.

Beautiful and sustainable tableware for children

Today I am sharing something beautiful coming right out of the heart of my home town, Berlin, and on top it is something you find probably very handy right now.

Beautiful and sustainable tableware for children*! Decorated with the sweetest drawings and prints.

nuukk is run by illustrator and artist Andrea and was founded in 2010. Her beautiful illustrations adorn the products and make them real eye catchers on your table. Andrea works together with a workshop in Berlin who provides work and education for those with disabilities. On top she takes the sustainable aspect very serious and uses materials like biodegradable bamboo, recycled paper, and organic cotton.

Bamboo is made from plant fibers, and is biodegradable, and BPA-free. You can pop it into the dishwasher and it is perfect for everyday-use for kids or a lightweight alternative on a picnic.

Next to the bamboo tableware for little people, you can also find products for adults. Sweet porcelain stickers, postcards, light bags, various stamps, cutting boards and much more.

Quick and easy – fresh look for the kids room

Everyone I know is really fed up with February and more than ready to give everything a very well deserved kick into Spring. We have enough of the rain and grey!

One very easy way to freshen up a room is to bring in a new print or two. It really is the cheapest as well as fastest route to ‘something new’. And of course I am here to help. I discovered a lovely UK based studio that does the sweetest prints. And their portfolio includes a lot of fresh, fruity, and lovely prints that are perfect for a ‘jump into Spring’ mission.

Kelly from Wildlings Interiors is based in Kent and has a real passion for children’s interiors and decor in particular. Therefore she went to art college and worked as a jewellery designer and maker for many years.

Since having her own little ones, her focus has unsurprisingly shifted. And she founded Wildlings, where she designs beautiful and timeless pieces to adorn your own mini spaces with.
