Beautiful and sustainable tableware for children

Today I am sharing something beautiful coming right out of the heart of my home town, Berlin, and on top it is something you find probably very handy right now.

Beautiful and sustainable tableware for children*! Decorated with the sweetest drawings and prints.

nuukk is run by illustrator and artist Andrea and was founded in 2010. Her beautiful illustrations adorn the products and make them real eye catchers on your table. Andrea works together with a workshop in Berlin who provides work and education for those with disabilities. On top she takes the sustainable aspect very serious and uses materials  like biodegradable bamboo, recycled paper, and organic cotton.

Bamboo is made from plant fibers, and is biodegradable, and BPA-free. You can pop it into the dishwasher and it is perfect for everyday-use for kids or a lightweight alternative on a picnic.

Have a look at the lovely collection of tableware for children:

Next to the bamboo tableware for little people, you can also find products for adults. Sweet porcelain stickers, postcards, light bags, various stamps, cutting boards and much more.

Right now, the bunny* products are very popular with Easter coming up.

Psssst… great gift idea…

And I am loving the ABC print*, which is available in German, French, and English.

I hope that everyone of you is doing well and that you have enough inspiration and ideas for the ‘stay at home’ weeks. Otherwise, how about these craft ideas ?

Quick and easy – fresh look for the kids room

Wildlings Interiors
Everyone I know is really fed up with February and more than ready to give everything a very well deserved kick into Spring. We have enough of the rain and grey!

One very easy way to freshen up a room is to bring in a new print or two. It really is the cheapest as well as fastest route to ‘something new’. And of course I am here to help. I discovered a lovely UK based studio that does the sweetest prints. And their portfolio includes a lot of fresh, fruity, and lovely prints that are perfect for a ‘jump into Spring’ mission.

Kelly from Wildlings Interiors is based in Kent and has a real passion for children’s interiors and decor in particular. Therefore she went to art college and worked as a jewellery designer and maker for many years.

Since having her own little ones, her focus has unsurprisingly shifted. And she founded Wildlings, where she designs beautiful and timeless pieces to adorn your own mini spaces with.

Looking for more interior inspiration – I highly recommend to have a look at the extensive children’s interior section on my blog. Enjoy!

The star edit!

The star edit!

After we started off the week in rather magical and mystic ways, I will keep the feeling and share some of my current favourites that shine with stars.

Stars are one of those designs that are always current and everyone loves. They are kinda gender neutral too and reflect a lot of themes like space, ballerina, or magic.

And look at yourself and your friends – do you know somebody who likes stars? I bet you do. Do you know somebody who does not? Now you probably have to really think and not come up with a name…

Exactly… stars are fun, cool, and timeless.

And they do pop up in all kind of ways in our wardrobes and homes. Here are the ones that I would shop right now:

1. A star lantern* macrame style. In lots of subtle and beautiful colours. Definitely not only for the kids room but I am sure your kids would love one…

2. Woah. Such a cool print. And one very warm jacket – perfect for your upcoming winter holidays!

3. We all know – it is in the details. And these star pins will change your look immediately.

4. I knooooow. They are awesome. They are sneaker fever*! And in case you do not like pink, or the glitz, they are many other cool styles available.

5. This lamp is called the twirly lamp and the best part is – it comes with a set of fun magnets that you arrange just as you wish…

6. The perfect outfit to dance to your dreams, to twirl to your future, and to hang up in your room when not worn.

7. A star teething necklace that is as cute as cupcake!

Half Time! More stars coming:

8. Those sneakers can definitely show off these stardust leggings. Match made in heaven!

9. Delightful onesie.

10. Tulle, and more tulle. And lots of gorgeous stars – the perfect party dress*.

11. Cute, simple, and something for every day – this sweet star headband*.

12. Boy, girl… anyone will love this cool jumper* that just screams COMFY!

13. Cool kids need cool socks* as well.

14. The simplest way to add some magic and to turn a room into a place out of a dream – a stunning star garland*! By the way, here are some truly magical kids rooms!
