Top 5 kids shops in Paris

.

Paris…finally… the city of love and my favourite kids shops!

Serendipity

7

A space in dark greys and fluo, very industrial and together with the contempory design it is the perfect match. A very poetic store at the same time that you really have to visit and see yourself. So inspiring!

Elisa de Bartillat and Laurence Simoncini, offer a selection of furniture and objects for children. All very fun, super charming and well chosen.

Note: Le Bon Marche and here especially the food section, La Grande Epicerie, is just around the corner. In front you have a little square with a nice playground.

81-83, Rue du Cherche Midi, 75006 Paris

Bonton & Bonton Bazar

bonton-zoom

Just recently I wrote about the flagship store from Bonton here, so it had to be in this list for sure.
Beautiful French clothes, helpful staff, a photo cabine and everything in the most beautiful surroundings. Must go!

Note: Merci is just down the road.

5, boulevard de filles du Calvaire, 75003 Paris

Bonton Bazar is heaven for kids bedrooms. You can buy lovely retro painted cots and lots of interior accessories like bed linen, posters, lamps, toys… or the whole selection of PAUMES books.

Or get all you need for a birthday party like candles, plates, cups, baskets, bags  colourful and sometimes kitschy but so fun!

Note: You can combine this with Serendipity because it is on the other side of Le Bon Marche.

122, rue du Bac, 75007 Paris

Here is a list of all Bonton stores in Paris.

Le Petit Bazar

Concept store with all things BIO. Furniture, decoration, clothes, toys, baby care, school supplies, baby food, cloth diapers and this place is huge (130sqm) so it is just perfect that they have a little Bazar Cafe where you can get a coffee or fruit juice and a little snack. There is even a little play area in the cafe. You could really spend your day here :)

They do workshops for kids (music, crafting….) as well as for parents (baby massage, baby carrying) and I  just wish there were more stores like this…

Note: You can easily walk to the Eiffel Tower from here!

128 avenue Émile Zola, 75015 Paris

Lilli Bulle

lillibulle collage

No Top 5 Paris shops without Lilli Bulle that is for sure but be prepared, this place is dangerous. You CANNOT leave without a bag. A new bag. A bag from the shop filled with treasuries. It is impossible. This place is small but packed with the best clothes and accessories you can wish for.

To name a few: Donna Wilson, PePe shoes, Oeuf NYC, Wafflish Waffles, Paumes books, Loppa, Whip Cream and and and… it is actually amazing seeing the size of the shop…

You can order the whole collection online as well.

Note: You can walk to the Canal Saint Martin from here which is a very special place with lots of colours, beautiful cafes and little shops.

3, rue de Forge Royale, 75011 Paris

Happy Garden

800-7451-boutique-victor-hugo

They do have a very French and beautiful collection of their own brand and stock lots of great brands on theirs shops too. Think Adri, Coq en pate and Zef.

It is a tiny shop and I always go there. It is in my beloved 6th arrondissement and their collection is just really well chosen and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Note: Up the road from rue de Seine you will find the Bonpoint flagship store (incl cafe) and the Luxembourg Gardens!

95 Rue de Seine, 75006 Paris and 11bis Avenue Victor Hugo, 75016 Paris

Please find here my Top 5 for Amsterdam, Berlin and London.

For a long time I was looking for a guitar for the kids. We do have all kinds of instruments at home already but a guitar was missing, mainly because the ones I found in the shops looked like a guitar but the sounds they make had nothing to do with it…

And of course it should be a piece that can handle 2 small kids…

…one day I found my luck. From Janod.

The confetti series includes various instruments (we do have the harmonica as well) and apart from the great look (dots) these are instruments that make the sound you might expect and they are sturdy!

Anyway, this toy is definitely one of the most played with in our house. By both kids and it still looks like new. KleinR rocking around with it and KleinA, well…. I guess you know…. he is now 17 months and we have it for a while, so believe me… this guitar has seen some tough moments :)

One Saturday morning the kids were playing a concert for us and I snapped some pics…

PS: …. if you looked really “sharp” you might have noticed that in fact, this is an ukelele, cause… me all excited… did not see it when I bought it… but the fun and happiness is just the same… :)

PSS: The last picture shows you that my daughter is still obsessed with band aids and sometimes just sticks them one everything and everybody… this morning her little brother…
