Fashion week {for kids}

As much as I enjoy online shopping I love to get as much information as possible.
How is the fitting? Is it a real bright red? How soft is the wool? And so on…

Specially when you put your hands on a new brand you just don’t know and that is where I really value “personal” online boutiques. You get that little extra information, you will find pictures of the outfit on a kid and some inspiration on how to wear it for free… :)

Alex and Alexa had a very cool idea and launched the first ever virtual kids fashion week last week.

Winter ‘11 looks from the world’s most prestigious little labels like Junior Gaultier, Dior, Stella McCartney, TommyHilfiger and Rykiel Enfant. Luxury labels are made to be worn and seeing the pieces on the kids, on the move and as an outfit is just so much better than just a picture!

See all the videos here and my special love goes to Rykiel Enfant! Stripe-Tastic!

Alexandrena Parker is one of Australia’s fastest emerging new talents within the children’s photography industry.

“I graduated in 2010 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and have been sponsored by Olympus Australia for two years. I grew up in country Victoria and now live in Melbourne, Australia. I am inspired by films, photography, music, culture, Europe, my sister, real life and of course children. In fact, real people and everyday life are most inspiring because it is honest, unique and genuine.”

Pure talent and passion this woman!

I like that the kids look like real kids here, dressed up maybe but playful and not like mini adults with more make up than I would ever wear in a full year.

… can’t wait to see new projects of her…

Paola studied arts and design in Buenos Aires and has a little shop call Holli.

And in that wonderful shop you can find digitals prints, watercolor paintings, art dolls, drawings and  framed prints. And all just amazingly beautiful.

I had a very hard time to select the prints I wanted to show with this post, everyone is just as beautiful as the other. Full of love, soft and I could look at them for ages. Magic happens, Paola is magic …

The classic, clean designs and ultra soft fabrics come in  soothing basic colors, like Vanilla Bean and Chocolate, on their own or uniquely mixed with contrasting fun, vibrant shades like Dragonfly blue and Pomegranate red.

I love the prints and great colours and think these pieces make perfect new baby gifts!
