15 beautiful things for kids from Croatia and Hungary {guest post}

Hi everybody, I am Petra from Bag of Pretty. I am a Croatian living in Hungary, so I decided to introduce you to some beautiful stuff coming from my two homes.

Here is my Top 15 in random order, I hope you like them too!

1. Little Horse and Baby Beuys – Croatian brand founded by sisters Maja and Mejra Mujičić a design duo that creates ’objects for playing, wearing and living while exploring boundaries between functionality and art.’
2. Marbushka – Hungarian family manufacture aiming to produce toys ’beautiful to look at, fun to play with and cherished for generations.’ Their puzzles are special, and board games are available in 6 languages (for now).
3. Manuela a Hungarian brand ( the designer is called Manuela too) that designs solely for children with an interesting mixture of Hugarian retro and Scandinavian minimalism. Her clothes are made in small series and with plenty of handmade details.

4. LaLaShoes is Babble’s #9 Top Etsy Baby Shop 2012. making too cute to be true baby shoes out of 100% wool felt. I want to be her best friend!
5. Kloc for Kids- innovative kids storage by hungarian designer Judit Ducsai from
ducsaijudit design. She makes genious bags for moms too (and I am not talking about diaper bags ladies).
6. Zubeki – monster toys made of scraps by a Croatian designer Ana Marin of REC
7. Bimba – as someone whose baby is 6 months old, I am super biased towards the wonders Diana Barcsi produces with her two hands, a sewing machine, a little textile paint and a lot of imagination. The only problem, how do I choose which one to buy?

8. Manka dolls are the work of Hungarian illustrator Monika Horvath. They are always smiling and they bring smile to my face whenever I see any of them – and there are many, check them out and you’ll be happy.
9. Kattuska – a fairly new Hungarian brand specializing in kids furniture, room accessories and toys made of wood. Very classy and cool!
10. Eszterda rag dolls and home accessories made by Eszter Dobo from Gyor, Hungary. She is so talented and extremely nice, and I love her photos as much as her dolls.
11. Pappet design toys made of paper and cardboard by Bernardett Perjes. These toys not only look good, they encourage parents and kids to play together while assembling them.
