Hi there! I kept it short and sweet last week because it was half term and we were out and about. And to make it up I am back with Interior Tuesday and a unique family apartment that you will love!
I know you will because I would not mind to move right in there. It has everything – high ceilings, original features, lots of light, it was recently renovated, and it has one cool kids room. Of course it has, because it is always the first thing I look for when spotting a cool place.
Are you excited?
You will see that they kept the original charm (after the renovation) and did a really great job by opening up the place. Because the wall between the kitchen and the living room was taken down for a more open and social layout, and for all the light to flow through the house.
Have a look at this gorgeous space and lets start with the children’s room right away. Because there is lots of inspiration in here, for you to take away:
Grey is the new white! No doubt about that. And I love that big shelving unit that is painted in the same colour and can hold so many things. It even includes a little cloth rack!
Some things: Wooden train*, bunting*, rainbow stacking toy, and similar wall storage pouches*.
Loving the plants on the windowsill, the wooden floor and the mix of vintage, classics and modern!
Some things: decorative balloons, the bed is from IKEA, similar mirror*, natural teepee*, rocking sheep*, and I am still searching for the source of the bear rug on the wall.
Isn’t this room a great inspiration? The neutral tones, the open shelves that make it easy for the child to reach, the crafting table, and the ‘chill out zone’ in the teepee?
And when taking a look at the rest of the house, we can find many more cosy nooks! Loving this spot right here by the window. And look at all these fantastic chairs that are so inviting to sit and relax.
By the way, the apartment can be found in Gothenborg, Sweden. In an area called Haga, a small and charming neighbourhood with lots of little shops, cafes and independent bakeries and cute restaurants. Very close by is Slottsskogen, a huge park with a little zoo, a Botanical Garden and tons of greenery of course.
