Stokke Trailz – review

Stokke Trailz
Let’s talk stroller today….

With the arrival of our little Joséphine we welcomed another royal newcomer to our family – the Stokke Trailz.
An all terrain luxury stroller with Scandinavian design. I want to share our experience so far and maybe help you a little if you are in the dilemma to decide for a future stroller…

The Trailz can be used from birth onwards and then for many many years to come… it grows with your child {just like the Tripp Trapp}

It is very sturdy yet stylish {something the Scandinavians are really good at I feel – they make the most practical things really solid yet super nice to look at… it is an art}. It is comfy, has great storage space {more on that later}, a wonderful height for both the newborn cot and the seat, and with its chunky wheels it is easy to manoeuvre over all terrains.

As you can see this is not a tiny stroller for the smallest and busiest streets in the big cities. It is a rather big one that does need its space but I feel it is still a good option for city people mainly because it is so easy to move around…

The cot is really big, padded and warm. Your baby will have a real luxury nest. The seat we only used once or twice with Leonor who wanted to test drive the stroller when it was delivered and the baby was still in my tummy… I will report more on that when we changed but I can tell you that Leonor {who was nearly three} enjoyed it and she also had lots of space.

My two favourite things:

  • Its high positioned seat! This is such a difference to any other stroller. Yes I am tall so it is even more convenient for me but truly truly I do not want to miss this anymore… because your child is in front of you. With you. Closer… not beneath you. Quite often I put the baby in the stroller at home, for a moment when I need free hands… it is just so convenient. And I remember that Leonor also really enjoyed sitting on a higher level…
  • The very spacious basket. Waterproof and really really big…. it is not made for it but Leonor actually sits in there sometimes… {she even fall asleep once and we put a jacket under her head and cruised around like this}. You can put a looooot of things in there and you have easy access. Bonus. Especially with four kids like us… during a walk the basket becomes busy very quickly.

So yay… thumbs up. Stylish, robust yet elegant and made for all kind of adventures {city, woods, beach etc} & seasons.

I like that you can get some good accessories with it too, like the super cosy and warm footmuff , a sheepskin lining, this cool winter kit or the PramPack to make sure your stroller travels as safely as you do. If you feel you need a little change or want to freshen up the stroller for another baby you can easily change the colour of all the fabric parts.

I think it is truly the perfect choice for active families who love the outdoors – no matter the weather.
