VOX Spot Collection – nursery and kids furniture

VOX Spot Collection

VOX exists since 1989 and yet I only discovered them recently. They have a vast range of furniture {from baby to grown ups, office spaces and and and …} but the one that really caught my attention is called SPOT.

Have a look at the nursery collection.

A great mix of design and intelligent furnishings. Responding to the everyday habits of babies and their parents. Beautiful wooden furniture in natural tones that are adapted to your needs.

With an acacia wood finish, their furniture brings a natural, gender-neutral look to the modern home. Everything is customizable and/or will grow with your baby.
The beautiful wardrobe, for example, offers a simple design and real storage solutions every mum needs…

SEPTEMBERS – knits and furniture for kids

Septembers

I showed you a little bit here and there from this newly launched Danish brand called SEPTEMBERS.

This lovely brand that combines beautiful knitwear and sleek little furniture.

It is time to show you a full story.

The lighting at the fair was a bit tricky and did not manage to get a good {to me} picture of the lovely cardigans.

Here we are!

SeptembersSeptembers Septembers Septembers Septembers

The founders of SEPTEMBERS met through their children. First their daughters and later they became friends. In the middle the love for kids fashion and the search for good quality and long lasting pieces. Septembers was born in the middle of Copenhagen.
The knitwear is produced in Bolivia and made entirely of baby alpaca wool. A soft, breathable and durable material.

And SEPTEMBERS is not only children’s clothes. Part of the little universe is furniture as well, build by the talented hands of rømerharbo in Nordhavn – 100% handmade and hand-painted.

We believe in a paradox. That diversity is found in simplicity. That a clean, timeless design can embrace and encourage countless personal expressions – and thus allow children to just be themselves. We believe in functionality. That a high quality in materials will provide comfort and well being.

I love the subtle colours the designers use for both the knitwear as well as furniture!

uuio – children’s furniture and toys

uuio

At uuio it all began with the idea of creating a highchair. A design highchair with a timeless shape, built only from the finest materials and equipped with technical detail.

It then evolved to be a whole furniture concept for children. Enriching the living spaces of children through design. Catering both for adults and children’s needs – for families.

UUIO is Johann, Pia & Sebastian. The name is a fantasy word that was made out of letters that Johann’s and Pia’s daughters could write first. These letters also represent the clear lines that flow through all of the team’s designs.

We are convinced that children’s furniture can not only be functional but contribute to the look of a designed interior.

OLIVER FURNITURE is beautiful, poetic, romantic and simple at the same time. Very Scandinavian and I especially like the new WOOD collection – the mix of white and wood is lovely.

Søren Rørbæk, the designer, loves the sea, sand and beach. He grew up by the sea in the North of Denmark. The power of nature and his passion is beautifully shown in his designs as well as styling of the furniture!

The simple designs are easy to combine in any space and especially if you already have furniture in a different colour. Nearly everything can be re-modeled and be used for many years while the kids grow up…

Since Autumn 2012 most of the furniture is sustainably produced in Europe.

Check here for a retailer near you!

PS: The textile collection is equally great. Lots of linen, light shades and stripes!
