I was pretty moved sometimes by thinking about 9/11. Not that I spent all day long thinking about it but it is present and I have been in NY when the towers were still there.

You stand on the Rockefeller Center and you imagine that people just did the same and then saw those planes flying into these buildings… rather moving right?

One World Center is again the center and meeting point of this city and they did a pretty good job with that. The memorial, the tower… it is not forgotten but people and NYC are strong.

You see a lot of skyscrapers on these pictures… mostly because they look pretty great on pictures but to be honest, I preferred the “lower” areas … haha …

Tribeca, Soho and of course Brooklyn! That is why I have to go back and then discover much more of Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park is amazing and so cool they use these Piers to give a big city more green, space for the kids and sports! Once it is all finished it will be really awesome.

A lot of times we were asked if we live in NY or just travel. Felt good to not have the tourist stamp on you all the time haha…

Unfortunately taxis are only allowed to take a maximum of 4 people. My mum was with us which makes us 6 and the whole “lets be lazy and just take a cab” a little too pricey… shame… I love to ride taxis in big cities!
{we could order a car to get us from the airport and back in case you wonder}

Hope you enjoyed this city through my eyes and hopefully very very soon I will come up with the kids guides!
