Moonmoth is a long-sleeve top from the latest, exclusive series by Kids on the Moon.

It was created in cooperation with a renowned Polish illustrator, designer and art curator – Agata Endo Nowicka.

“A beautiful and elusive moon moth was circling around the Kids on the Moon for some time. Agata Endo Nowicka’s fascinating drawing gave it slightly obscure, dream-like character, while the top is designed to resemble wings. Moonmoth is created for kids who enjoy running on crackling leaves and squeaky floors – for all who spread wings as twilight falls…”

You surely remember the last collection from this beautiful Polish brand {see here} and very soon I will introduce you to the A/W collection too but this beautiful limited edition had to hit the site today…

Here is a sweet interview with Magda Rams – designer and founder of Kids on the Moon:

Why a moth?
The concept was born well into the night and just like the brand Kids on the Moon it was the result of moonlit discussions. The image of a moth – a night butterfly coming to life after dark had accompanied me for long time. When I came across the incredible moonmoth I immediately knew it would be the theme of the special collection by Kids on the Moon. Moonmoth is a fascinating, mysterious night butterfly. It moves imagination.

Why did you choose Agata Endo Nowicka to cooperate on the project?
Agata is an extremely talented designer and illustrator. When I discovered her drawings of insects made for SMAK magazine I instinctively knew that our Moonmoth had been waiting for her.

Will Moonmoth become part of the Kids on the Moon basic collection?
Moonmoth – just like the real moon moth – is short lived. It is a limited collection created for kids whose imagination becomes most vivid after dark. The top will be available in autumn and winter 2013. However, being a butterfly, it may transform further….

The project is complemented by full of light and yet dreamy photographs by Marta Pruska.
