{mini garland} give aways DIY

Today the little man will celebrate his birthday in daycare.
Here in The Netherlands you bring a little surprise for all kids.
This time I combined my new addiction {sewing} and love for {paper} to make something {fun}.
I made some mini garlands.
For punching the paper into fun shapes like butterflies, hearts, stars… I use these.
Already some time before – hubby and I were sitting, with a cup of tea, at the dining table … all sorts of papers and punchers around us … and zoooooooooo… punch punch punch….zoooooooooooo…So I was sewing together the paper shapes, one by one… to create little garlands looking like the one on the picture.
Hubby was in charge to place them on cards, business card size.
Fixing one end with masking tape on the card, wrap the garland around – delicate please – and fix the other end again with the tape on the card. Now I wanted to place them in little bags.
Found some old and fun The Smurfs mags from KleinR {recycling}.
One page is good for 4 little bags. So cut your magazine page into 4 pieces, same size.
Fold your paper in the middle and start sewing together 2 of the 3 open sides.
Place your garland in the bag. Push it good till the end. Sew the last side together.Voila!
I hope the kids like them and you too.
