We all eat: Porridge or Weetabix or Cheerios, followed by bagels or toast with Peanut Butter (Felix) or Marmite (Cissy), and a freshly made smoothie.
For us it’s toast (raspberry jam for him, peanut butter for me) and fruit – usually grapefruit or banana, and a coffee of course. And we’ll never pass up English fry up if it’s called for i.e. a hangover! – bacon, eggs, beans, toast, mushrooms, sausage, hash browns etc

Where do you live: Oldenburg, Germany
Your kids name+ age: Tjorven Emma (8y.), Arved Sylvester (7y.) and Lovis August (3y.)

What do they have for breakfast: During the week there is are short breakfast with cereal and apple spritzer or hot chocolate for the kids.

What do you and daddy have for breakfastDuring the week there is no proper breakfast for the adults :)
But on the weekends when we five are all together we have breakfast always very long!
We all love a leisurely breakfast. We have, fruit, eggs, meats and cheese. Often we have sausage, bacon and sand shrimps (Nordseekrabben). Our breakfast is more of a brunch. Because we are often on the road on weekends and will only eat warm at the evening so the breakfast may be a bit bigger. And of course there are also sweets at the weekend. Nutella should not be missed!
The kids usually drink juice or hot cocoa. Daddy is drinking east Frisian tea (Ostfriesentee) and mommy is drinking coffee.

Where do you live: London, E17
Your kids name+ age: Sam (9.5) and Jessie (very nearly 7). Yep, those halves and almosts really matter!

What do they have for breakfast: Monday to Saturday it’s toast with bread fresh from the bread machine (best buy, ever) with honey, jam or almond butter, or a bowl of oats and raisins, with gallons of milk. On Sundays the kids are now big enough to get their own cereal while we have a lie in. Glorious!

What do you and daddy have for breakfast: I’m a toast addict, preferably with Natex (like Marmite only better) and tahini. Dad has a home-made muesli mix of oats with whatever takes his fancy that day (raisins, nuts, seeds and CHOCOLATE!)

This was a special family brunch as my father-in-law and his wife, who live in Shanghai, were staying.
The kids were in charge of making the pancakes, with a little help with the flipping from me, served with fresh fruit and lashings of maple syrup. We then had scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon and dill, and fried tomatoes. Yum.

Where do you live: Turin, Italy (actually I live in Rome, but now we move in Turin)
Your kids name+ age: Filippo, 2y

What does he have for breakfast:
His first word when he wakes up is “Latte!” He usually have a bottle with milk and biscuits.
In Italy there is a very famous biscuit brand for baby and toddlers called Plasmon. I have a tinplate box of Plasmon, which my grandma bought for my mother.
He also eats a lot of my biscuits (with chocolate), he asks …one for him, one for mum, one for dad…and he eats all of them!

What do you and daddy have for breakfast: I love cappuccino with huge milk foam, while my husband has coffee (Italian short espresso) and fruit juice. Each of us has his own biscuits: with chocolate for me, with nuts for him. During the weekend, if we have more time we also have jam. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I love that we spend time together for breakfast. And I love to have breakfast outside, at a coffee bar. I order a brioche called “Veneziana” with cream and sugar.
Simply delicious!
