Dodo Toucan – ceramic animals

Dodo Toucan

How adorable are these ceramics animals? Dodo Toucan was launched in 2015 and since then every piece is individually hand crafted in Paris by designer Sara Theron.

I am especially in love with the softness that Sara gives her creatures. Adding some lovely colour to our everyday decor. And yes I am aware that ceramics are not the best for little hands. Put these on the shelf to add some bright and happy decoration.

Something delicate and original. Every piece is an original!

My favourites are these wall hanging masques. True heirloom pieces.

Next to the animals you can find tea-cups, mugs, vases or salad bowls. A great place to find a super gift for somebody special… {or yourself!}

By the way – if you happen to be in Paris you can join a ceramic atelier through Dodo Toucan. Have a look!

Gifts for Tweens {ideas 2016}

Gifts for Teens

Gifts for Tweens

– Romy is 9 1/2 now and I can see that her interests and taste are changing. This time before they become teenagers. This time where they are not children anymore… too old for toys and too young for boys… or at least not interested at all in our case.
And I love this. I love the talks we have now. Her curiosity and personality that takes more and more shape.

When your kids were small / below eight you were usually confronted with many shops, things, toys, accessories and more. Probably more than one can need and digest. And then the overwhelming kids world starts to fade. There is less and there is a little gap for these cute 9-12 years old. But there are great things!

Here is my list of great gift ideas that I would buy without a doubt for my own tween.

The last one in November {Friday list}

Advent Calendar DIY
Advent Calendar {DIY idea} found on VT Wonen.

Can you believe that we will light the first Advent candle this Sunday? The year is nearly over… I am not ready yet. Are you?

I promised the kids that we will get the Christmas boxes upstairs and start with some decorating. We have a Christmas coloring poster in the kitchen and the kids add a little sparkle every day.

Do you have all the gifts? Advent calendars ready? Decoration up or maybe even a tree in the house already?

… but right now I want you to make a cup of tea, take a little cookie if you want to and read on. I have some lovely things in this Friday list like the wonderful Advent Calendar on the first picture. Maybe an idea in case you have no plans for the upcoming week end {… yah, I know… very unlikely}:
