Berlin for families – Kreuzberg

Once home to Berlin’s famed squat scene and the famous Hansa recording studios – where David Bowie, Brian Eno, Iggy Pop etc made their magic – Kreuzberg remains a vibrant and multicultural part of Berlin.
Home of world-famous attractions, including the Checkpoint Charlie and Daniel Libeskind’s Jewish Museum.
After the sightseeing it is nice to sit down with a nice piece of cake and your kids entertained in handreach. Try:
Kinderbar (Waldemarstraße 57). There is a playground just around the corner so you can head to this lovely cafe for a cup of coffee or when the weather is bad use the indoor play area. You will find a baby area as well as a part for bigger children with little chairs, tables and lots of toys.
Cafe Graefchen
(Graefestrasse 82) with a huge play area and they have a marble track and play kitchen. The area is in the back of the cafe. Just around the corner you will find Cafe Avril (Graefestrasse 83). Enough place to go wild, very friendly staff and big changing area. Or go to Kindercafe Pustekuchen (Markelstrasse 19) with homemade cakes and soups. The kids food is served by a steam train and they have baby food as well. There is a room for playgroups and courses like pregnance yoga or baby massage. and one for second hand kids clothes.
