Must-have accessories for a natural kids room!

Accessories for a natural kids room!

One of your favourite kids rooms here on Paul & Paula is the fantastic universe of Sonny Lou. It is a natural children’s room that is full of inspiration and things to take away.

Some DIY ideas, colour combinations that work for both boys and girls as well as cute products.

Therefore I thought I would put together a little mix of some really nice accessories for a natural kids room.

I hope you like these ideas:

1. Beautiful organic cotton swan cushion.

2. Rainbow mobile from Liewood. With pompoms and earthy colours.

3. Very cool boho shelf for a very reasonable price. Such an eye-catcher and so timeless.

4. Rainbow velvet pouf to play, relax and having fun.

5. Organic blanket from Bobo Choses. With a quirky touch. Love it!

6. Loving this raffia basket with its turqoise dots. Because every natural room needs a dose of colour. This is just the right one!

7. Fan garland. Here in natural but available in many colours. Probably one of my favourite accessories – these are so elegant, come in the best colours and just add a touch of whimsy to any room.

8. Such a pretty lamp. (other colours available too) Not just for the kids room. Makes for beautiful light and ceilings!

9. This hanging cradle is the bomb. If you are about to put a nursery, you need to have this. A dream.

10. Safari bedding in junior as well as one person bed sizes.

11. Little knitted fawn. To cuddle.

12. Machine washable cushion.

13. Quilted bed throw or blanket. Here in mustard but available in other divine colours as well.

14. Can you ever have enough storage baskets? Especially when they are this cute?

15. Fun print from the Mado X Soft Gallery collab.

Vintage family haven in Stockholm

Vintage family haven in Stockholm

Do you know where Aspudden is? You will after this post! And you will love it, because this vintage family haven is the bomb.

Aspudden is a district of Söderort, a southern suburb of Stockholm. And home to this amazing family place that has a vintage find to be discovered in every corner. And the apartment is bright, airy and I love the wooden floors.

The area has this cosy little town feel. Nice little shops and restaurants and under 15 min to get into the city by metro. And there is Vinterviken just around the corner. A bay in the Mälaren lake where you go for walks and also find garden cafes. A very green area!

But, let’s have a look at the apartment, the vintage haven:

The most incredible birth photos ever!

birth photography

Image: Artist by Heart Photography

Today I want to start the week with these powerful images. Images that will touch every heart, soul and probably will bring all your memories of childbirth back.

There is this incredible image contest happening, hosted by Birth Becomes Her. Images from all over the world that inspire and empower the act of giving birth. Emotions, tears, joy and the beginning of a new life.

I would call it ‘raw birth photography’.

Birth Becomes Her was created in 2014 by birth photographers, Monet Nicole and Jennifer Mason. An international community of birth photographers that work together to help the industry grow.

For the 2018 contest they received over 1200 images from birth photographers around the world. And there are five categories for photographers to submit to:
Hospital, out-of-hospital, colour, black and white, and postpartum.

Here is a selection:

Enchanting family home in Nantes, France

Enchanting family home in Nantes, France

Bonjour! Fancy a little tour to Nantes? A family of 5 is living in this beautiful apartment and they do have a love for blue.

Blue and pretty designer mobiles.

Oh, and plants. And there are some lovely ideas you can take away from this one too. How about the light-bulb garland that is strung right across the room above and replaces a ceiling lamp? Or painting your window frames in a pretty colour? This shade of ice/grey/blue is fantastic but you may have your eyes on something else….

I am keeping it a bit short today because after my nasty flu and current half term break my to do list is long.

More family homes from France? How about this boho inspired nursery in Lille or this family home in Paris.
