Antik Batik Kids

I will be in Paris this summer and one shop I always have on my list is Antik Batik dans Le Marais. (it is a very long list by the way)
I love Antik Batik for the colours and the blend of vintage, folklore and contemporary design.
A little bit romantic combined with colorful prints and eye-catching embellishments.
Little girls in soft tunics and dresses that embrace summer with their happy colours and stylish shoes.

A little bit about…
Gabriella Cortese, the head behind the label, is Italian by birth, travelled around the world with stops …
…in Bali, where the thousand-year-old batik technique for printing silk inspired her to create her first range of pareos. Taking the word batik, Gabriella added antik, for the rhyme, and because it sounded good in all languages.
…in India, she explored other techniques: embroidery, and bandhani: an artisanal dyeing process.
She finally settled in Paris and started Antik Batik in 1992.

Gabriella has been designing a children’s collection since 2001, and is now planning on one for men.

E shop here!

PS: I could get the whole accessories line for ME.
