The baskets are hand woven in Ghana and are very special because they are much more than beautiful. They are eco friendly, fair trade and sustainable on top. Something your family will treasure into the future.

The baskets are woven using dried Elephant Grass, which is native to West Africa. The grass is hand dyed using plant based & mineral dyes to achieve the bright and distinctive colours. The basket handles are covered by cured leather.
A custom made breathable mattress comes with each moses basket. It has been manufactured in the UK to ensure it meets all safety standards.

Because they are handmade, each basket is unique, and the level of detail is just so special.

Tilly + Cub are passionate about not just supporting their producers, but their wider community too. Which is why a donation is made to Afrikids from each basket sold. The baskets are crafted by fair trade workers. Meaning each one of them enables the talented Artisan who made. And therefor supporting themselves and their family, and in turn support the community too.

Whilst the moses baskets serve as a bed for newborns only (before they begin rolling, pushing up or crawling) this should not be the end of the baskets story. They make beautiful storage for toys or linen or a lovely snug cubby for toddlers to lounge in.
