You can find lots of dream like characters, animals and strong colours and prints. Tees, dresses and pants – summer wardrobe staples that can be worn from Spring all the way through Autumn really.

My favourite piece is the windbreaker. Absolutely love it. I love great colours and prints on items you wear on grey&rainy days – makes it so much better!

And that shirt and the pants with the arms printed on – does it make you smile as well?

Marie, the founder, about the brand:

Our brand name tells the story about the 4th arrondissement in Paris
where young girls are running through the streets as fast as ”Coyotes”,
the Parisian prairie wolves. The coyote has a special wisdom underneath her sense of humor and
a touch of mystery. She has her own eclectic style and dares to be a
dynamic individual.

The first collection is full of luxurious classics and iconic pieces like the trench coat, nautical stripes or crisp white collars…

I am especially in love with this outstanding look book. Very grown up, very 60’s and a great atmosphere..

Cannot wait to see it in store {mid July… take note} and to see this label grow!

Playtime Paris trends and more

Moodboard Break the rules
Just a  few more weeks and it is Playtime again! {4.-6. July to be precise}

Oh I cannot wait… if you are into kids fashion {as a blogger like me or a shop owner, designer or or or} this is the place to be.

Discovering what our kids will wear next year, meet and chat with the people behind the brands {one reason Playtime is just my favourite show – you really meet the designers}, chat with friends and and and… a great mix of work, social life, fashion, trends and lots of fun.

This summer there will be 470 brands showing. That is a lot but thanks to the careful selection you can be sure to see more eye candy than you can probably handle. I am especially looking forward to discover new brands and for the first time in Paris are: Anne Kurris, oaks of acorn, little mashers, omibia and many more…

In the decor section you will find for the first time a new presentation space dedicated to design. The Design Tables will welcome established brands proposing single products or small design collections.

The maternity section will move to the beautiful pavilion opposite the main building. {South entrance} There will also be a trend space {by Aurélie Mathigot} and I think I will have a little sneak. This department actually gets better and better!

I am also happy to share with you some hot news. Paul & Paula got hands on the Winter trends 2015/2016:

Since the very beginning, the Playtime trade show has explored and analyzed the evolution of fashion in the children’s universe. For the upcoming 2015/2016 fall season, we have identified three main trends, based on the theme of “board games.”

First, with the “Let’s break the rules” theme, {top picture}  a spirit of rebellion will waft through the season.

Inspired by street art, social media and electronic media, this trend is resolutely urban. Rebellion in a soft and humorous way, through clothing with messages. The key pieces are the teddy or the bomber, with a cap and sneakers, t-shirts and “tagged” sweatshirts. Look for bubble-gum colors like tangerine, turquoise and lemon.

Moodboard Welcome to the club
With “Welcome to the club” inspiration clearly comes from the codes of the bourgeoisie and high society.

Look for the classics of children’s wardrobes, like a blazer, a pussy bow blouse, a beret or loafers. Fabrics evoke opulence, like velvet & silks. Colors are dark, like a reddish-brown marsala, blueberry and inky navy blue, but also shiny, like bronze. For the prints, it’ll be all about classics like herringbone and Prince of Wales checks, combined with patterns inspired by butterflies and feathers.

MoodBoard Cultivating a team spirit

Finally, the “Let’s build a team spirit” theme is all about going back to the roots; to simplicity.

This is a trend soaked in nostalgia, and the fabrics are natural and comfortable, like ethnic wools, flannel, denim or felt. Colors are duller and more neutral, like taupe, slate, ash or khaki. The key pieces are overalls, a pinafore, clogs and suspenders.

Moodboards by Julie Malait, who is also the talented lady who curates the fantastic trend spaces at the fair!
