maké maké – furniture for young and older kids

maké maké
maké maké is a new poetical and eco-friendly kids design brand from France.

We offer flat-pack and self assembly furniture, without nails or glue. Our first collection is made of birch plywood. Our playful furniture combines functionality and the fun of a construction set.

Founders Stephanie Gilles and Laurence Hamelin met at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris. They launched maké maké in April 2017. Utilizing the expertise of many local enterprises they came across in their other work to develop and make this innovative line. The brand is based and produces exclusively in Normandy, France. Everything is made from birch plywood. Which is coming from sustainable managed Finnish forests, and protected with natural oil.

I think my favourite is BENKO – a bench but can be used for lots of things really. Especially in a playroom this comes in very handy. Rather small, light and great for role play.
