Hilda.Henri A/W 2015

Some weeks ago at Playtime Paris I finally met the people behind this very special label from Vienna. I featured them already back in 2013 {here} and with their current S/S collection {here} and I can tell you Hilda.Henri is getting better and better and the people are super lovely.

Above you can see the new A/W 2015 collection featuring lots of their famous milled loden fabric. All natural and light.

“On our winterly wanderings accompanied by camera we have crossed a wild river valley in Waldviertel, where Friedensreich Hundertwasser used to live and work. We have also found – in the spirit of Thoreau – a place that is and is not. It is reality as it is a place of the soul, of memory and of desire. There the children were accompanied by doves and horses. They went through the water. They were kings. They were queens.”

The doves that find themselves as tone-in-tone embroideries on special items for the girls seem to testify the adventure and that very spirit is what makes Hilda.Henri set a high value on sustainable and fair production. Partners are old-established family businesses with long-term experience in their skills – settled in between the mountains and nature. All collections are manufactured in Austria, following the rules of traditional handcraft.

My favourite are still the coats and capes. Such a fairy way of keeping warm, cosy and being stylish.
