De Vries kids shoes

de vries shoes

Dutch children’s shoe brand De Vries came up with one of the most clever concepts. When doing research for her new business, Lilian the designer, brought all existing shoe types back to 10 ‘archetypes’ of shoes. These shoe styles vary from number 0, the sandal, to number 4, and 5, the trainer and the desert shoe, to the low and tall boots, number 8 and 9.

“With a collection of 10 classic shoe styles -each stamped with their own number-, we take children seriously. Our style is no-nonsense, an antidote to today’s glitz and sparkle and eye-popping colors. Our designs and colors adapt to the character of the person wearing them, instead of the other way around.
Our shoes are manufactured in Portugal and are made of high quality leather. So our shoes last long: both in style as in quality. We use a sturdy A-quality leather on the outside. The inside of the shoe corresponds with the shape of a child’s foot and is made of a very gentle, soft leather quality that breathes. This creates a very comfortable fit during the day.”

I think this classic boot style just never goes out of season and the bright colours are wonderful!

The sandals are very cute as well, especially the ones with the long cords.

…oh and…. some models come in mum sizes too :)
