I T I S February. Already. Same every year. We just celebrated and boom… time flies. Then I like to remind myself that ‘time flies when you are having fun’.
Today I am in Copenhagen. First meeting an old friend and then a new friend. Life is indeed fun.
And then it is the week end. Did I tell you that we adopted the Swedish “Friday night is Taco night’ tradition? The kids love it. We love it because it is quick to make and yummy. Do you have something you do/eat/make on Fridays to start the week end?
Garlicky Butternut Squash Noodles with Spinach and Ricotta. I love zoodles {Zucchini noodles} – now I want to try the butternut version. This recipe looks so yummy. Especially with the weather outside – comfort food!
The interview series we started exclusively for our newsletter is very popular. Make sure you are subscribed!
Great DIY idea that does not look too tricky to do but your kids will love it!
During our flight to Athens (where we arrived this Wednesday) I was thinking that it could be really fun to do a little round up here on the blog.
Feature the best/ most read posts for example. I mean, I was really curious to investigate as well. Which topics do you guys love? What are you interested in etc…
And it is a lovely way to finish the year and take a little break from the blog and social media. Refreshing actually. [read more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]
Let’s start:
The TOP FIVE posts on Paul & Paula in 2016, in order:
1. Willieandmillie. These fun kids room accessories from Sweden!
2. The Animals Observatory. In January I introduced you to this new brand and their very first collection.
Our weekly series of family breakfasts is very popular as well. Every Saturday.
And we started something new. Every Monday I will take a picture of all four (YES a challenge) kids. For fun and to see them grow and change… I am sure it will be cool to compare the first picture with the last of the year 2017. Please join – they grow up so quickly!
And our road trip of course. Oh man… the best thing ever and we still feel the energy and sunshine!
And personal in 2016?
*I quit sugar! (big step and good step, Christmas time saw some exceptions… but good ones)
*I started to run! (still not the biggest fan buuuuuut I feel that I need it. This is good and does good.)
*Both things make me proud. Proud that I am able to stay strong. And I feel great. Best base for a mum and business owner.
*I decided to go for it. To grow Paul & Paula. Something I wanted to do for a long time and always hesitated. During our big trip I decided to just go for it. (you see what such a break can do to you)
And what is in it for 2017?
I will share a few little things that will make you want more:
*Our newsletter will get an exciting and exclusive feature. As of 2017 every newsletter will come with an inspiring interview. Small business owners will share their best tips, tricks and some -new – private stuff.
*To celebrate the New Year we will host a fantastic give away in partnership with STOKKE! Oh yes… you must, again, make sure to follow us on this one.
*I also mentioned that Paul & Paula will see some changes. And that is still true. I am working on it. For some time and things take different directions sometimes. Need a little more time. But: The consulting part that I already offer will grow. Will be more professional and will take more of my time. I love it. I love to work with brands, shops and other people from the kids industry and help them grow.
… oh I love Saturday morning breakfasts… one of the best things… it’s the week end, it’s “clock free” {no checking the time because you need to be at school on time etc} and we have time to sit as long as we like and enjoy the first hours of the week end…
That is why I usually try to get some extra yummy things like fresh juice, strawberries, a little treat like banana bread and whatever else takes our fancy…

Last week end we even had “special guests” and the table was set with some fun animal plates & cups. The lovely Tanja from Kidzpiration {have a look, a super European distributor for lots of cool things for the little ones} asked me if we would like to try the cool range from Wee Gallery for IMM ceramics plus a few extra treats from Fabelab.
Let me say one thing: The kids L O V E D it. Especially Leonor with the fun staking set that consists of a bowl and a cup.
Those fun plates come in sets of two and are available as a Tiger, Cat & Bear and you can mix and match as you like… or better the kids… mine definitely thought this was super fun.
The stacking sets are super cool as well. The bowl is the head and the cup the body.
Everything is made from ceramic and is dishwasher/ microwave friendly. No plastic – hurray!
You can find them here.
Little Miss Joséphine and one of the cutest bibs ever called Dreamer. I like… we definitely still dream a little bit on Saturday mornings.
The mint coloured bunnies are lunch bags. Good for the environment and too cute in the backpack.

Yes, I am already on the road. First trip of the summer. For now only with the school kids – we are going to Germany. Quick stop in Berlin and then to my mum.
Still strange to me that the summer break is so early in Sweden. Let’s have a look what I found the last days and have to show you…
Lovely shop-the-look pics and inspiration over here.
