Oh lord. The place I am showing you today had me at first sight. It is a rather small space but the use of space and colour palette make it so stunning. I am truly in love and want to redecorate right away.

This unique attic has a special atmosphere, some Art Nouveau soul, and a whole lot of character.

The colour palette is based on a landscape photograph from Oman by the photographer Chiara Zonca. The pale pine floor became the sand, the pink shifts in the sunset dunes became walls and moldings, dark shadows in rock formations became the bedroom’s dark red and black details. And the ceilings were painted in pigeon blue.

But the best part is how the colours play out during the day. Starting the days in warm golden light and getting more cosy during the darker hours of the evening.

In short: It is amazing and I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

The kids room is the cutest. Sitting right under the roof with every inch carefully used and means the little one literally falls asleep under stars here. And there is plenty of space for playing, sleeping, storing and growing.

A velvet sofa in mustard with a wall full of books. My kind of heaven!

Usually I select the interiors I show here based on their children’s rooms. Which was the case here too, however the star is the kitchen for me. I just love it. I love how they did the lighting, the black that gives it more the impression of being a piece of furniture than a kitchen. And that window with the deepest window sill I have ever seen. So pretty!

Altogether the combination of the wall colour, the mustard sofa, and black cabinets is so interesting. What do you think?
