Picnic with an owl, a unicorn and some ducks

We have such amazing weather here the last weeks that we spent most of our free time in the park or at the beach. You really do have to enjoy every minute of this at like 500%. Because nobody knows how long it will last.

That is why we also transferred some of our meal times to the outside as well. Especially lunch. And really – who does not like a fun picnic?

And with their new backpacks, that we received from Affenzahn, Leonor and Josephine were even more keen to get packing and out of the house.

We welcomed a unicorn and an owl to our family and all I can tell you is: The welcome was very warm! These animal backpacks are like good friends that accompany you to any adventure. Moreover they are super cute, fun and also very functional! (may I mention here that Affenzahn is from Germany so the functional part is a given… yes, I need to play my German card from time to time).

Every backpack has a stick-out tongue with a name label (big hit here). And also reflective straps, soft shoulder pads and adjustable chest straps which makes them very comfortable to wear. There are lots of pockets including secret pockets that you will need to discover yourself and they are showerproof and dirt-repellent.

Equally important: The company uses fabrics that are made of up to 50 % recycled PET bottles. All materials are certified by the bluesign system, which makes sure that harmful chemicals are avoided along the entire production process. Thumbs up!

These cheeky rucksacks come in two formats. The smallest is for one to three year olds (like our owl). And the larger one for three to five year olds (like the unicorn). Again, the design of each bag focuses on maximum attention to ergonomics and they are made with the greatest respect for the environment.

Which one is your favourite?

Oh and about the ducks, they were running around in the park. And wanted a share of the picnic. But Josephine was not too impressed in sharing her food with them…
