Petit Picotin

Petit Picotin
From bedding to decoration Petit Picotin has all the essential products to accompany your baby from its first days.
And I am so happy to finally share this brand with you. I saw them a long time ago but the website was not in place yet. And I know that you like to be able to click through, maybe shop or at least get more ideas about the products… so I was waiting. And finally, here we are.

Astrid Geffroy launched Petit Picotin last year and offers a collection of customisable birth gifts.

And with that gifting got a whole new meaning. You can find little toys, home accessories, storage bags, backpacks or beddings and much more. Everything is made from beautiful materials (100% French washed linen) , highest quality and the colour range just makes me swoon. Decorative elements, textile accessories and bed linen, with a rather classic style, will obviously please all happy parents.

Each piece is unique and make them perfect gifts. Packaged in a beautiful gift box that can be kept to store little things and that will become a box to remember. A box of little treasures.

And then you can personalize each piece. Adding a little message or the name of the child in silver, gold or white. Up to you!

And yes, we love the balloons. Astrid even has a special offer for a lot of three. So I guess they are quite popular and they make such a great decoration in the kids room.

‘Our products are both beautiful and practical: they were imagined by a mother for moms!’

Colourful kids room ideas

kids room
Good Morning!

Now if you are looking around for some fabulous kids room ideas then this is the perfect spot for you here today. You will see. And I have to admit that this place does make me a little bit jealous. (and I am not a jealous person in general…at all)

This apartment is situated in the Boulogne-Billancourt district of Paris, close to Jean Jaures Metro station. So we do have Paris, one of my favourite cities and we do have this beautiful space of an apartment.

Designed by GCG Architects. And there is so much to love here…

The build-in wardrobes and colour block walls to start with. And how cool is the open shelf that was integrated?

The perfect match with the baby cot from Bonton and the other bed (top image) from Kalon will be use for many years to come because you can convert it. Such a great design!

Super cosy corner and chill out spot with an alley of various cushions. L O V E!

And another fabulous bed, this time the bunk from Oeuf. Bed linen from La Cerise sur le Gateau.

And? What do you think?

Isn’t fantastic? And I think there are four kids living here, counting the beds and all. And all the blue or should I say light blue. This shade gives the rooms such a fresh look. Together with the toys, some vintage pieces and cool rugs it is a very colourful and still serene universe.

And with all the different rooms you really get some cool kids room ideas here, just as I promised you in the beginning.

Bandy Button

Bandy Button
It is very cold outside but I really do not mind because the sun is shining too. Perfect winter weather in my books. But since we are at the end of February already I really like to think about Spring and warmer weather too.

That is why I want to introduce you to Bandy Button today. A French brand created in 2016 by Jessica Ben- Ami.

And when I look at the collections and images all I can see is happiness, smiles and bright, sunny days.

A cutting edge style that is high in colours and always super comfortable for the kids to wear. Jessica is a mum of two little girls and Bandy Button was inspired by the word “belly button” which symbolises the link between mother and child.
Addicted to kids fashion since April and Joey were born, Jessica started by creating hand made pieces of clothing for her children and her friends’ kids but soon she was overwhelmed.

Thanks to her entrepreneur husband, they decided to create a “real collection”. The essence is to create cool clothes in which kids will feel comfortable to play and discover the world of freedom.

‘We use only high quality fabrics, comfortable, made to last and pass from a generation to another. We hope these clothes will soon become their favorite ones. The prints and illustrations are all handmade.’

The third collection – for this Spring / Summer 2018 – just launched and is called DESERT BABY. Cool prints that scream summer and long days in the woods.

Noni Bee

Noni Bee
Sunny California is saying Hello today with these responsibly made, comfortable, and original clothing for girls ages 3 months to 7 years. Noni Bee are long-lasting, natural, sustainable clothes with personality.

Produced entirely in California, from the knitting of their custom super soft organic cotton fabrics to the last stitch. The result is unique clothing in wearable styles that parents can feel great about buying for their kids.

Peri is an artist, turned midwife, turned mom, turned Noni Bee founder.

‘When my first daughter was born, I wanted her to have original, comfortable clothing that had personality while not being too girly or fussy. I was frustrated by the available options, so I learned to sew and made most of her clothing myself. I quickly discovered that one of my favorite things to do was make original fabrics with linoleum block prints, and sew them into classic styles.’

Today the printing and sewing is done by professionals these days, but all drawings and lino cut designs are custom printed on organic fabrics in California and all garments are sewn in North Carolina by a worker owned sewing cooperative.

And have you noticed that wide legged pants are back in trend? I saw a few this A/W, more in the new summer collection and lots during my visits at the shows (for next A/W 2018/19).

These are funky and quirky!

The mix of prints and colours is so refreshing from all the monochrome that is still around. (not that I don’t like it but some colour is great too)

And a bright dress to make Spring start quickly is definitely a good idea.
