Designer Iris and Tali from the alternative children’s label NUNUNU are fascinated by the various forms of communication that we deal with worldwide. For the Spring/ Summer collection 2018, they were inspired by the captivating effect of Braille.

Did you know that Braille is an alphabet and not a language? Each letter of Braille consists of a combination of one to six points that are so close together that one single fingertip can tell which letter it is. In this way, 63 letters can be composed. For languages with a different alphabet, Braille is different.

This collection is one of their richest and varied collections yet with lots of new styles and adaptations to older ones. Including a surprising collaboration between nununu and talented artist Shay Id Alony. (for this skull print!)

But back to the Braille. The designers found this form of communication so captivating that Braille makes up a significant portion of the collection. Baggy pants, leggings and shorts with the dotted alphabet, sleeping bags and overalls for the little ones, braille T-shirts with relief or a summer layered dress with braille dots.

Love a brand that stays true to its roots and yet never stops exploring and growing in different directions.

And psssst… this year the best collaboration ever will launch. Nununu and a very unexpected fashion brand teamed up! So good!
