Whales!

Whales!

Whales! I am back on watching documentaries on Netflix. I love a good docu but I am not always in the mood for them and it is more phases… movie phases, re-watching FRIENDS phases, crime series phases and documentaries…

And then I am mostly going for food and health stuff. And of course it includes the consequences to our environment. Including our oceans.

Ok, that is a long intro for todays post, but what I wanted to say is that one evening whilst watching a docu I was thinking about whales and that I saw quite a few in various shops. A little gathering would be nice to bring them all together…

1. Kid O Floating whale

2. This fun three-section blue whale plate is made with durable and safe melamine.

3. Petit Bateau Whales baby t-shirt in Azure blue

4. Whale pendant from Titlee

5. Macon & Lesquoy hand embroidered Whale Brooch

6. Sweat shirt with Whale Tail!

7. Wooden whale figurine

8. Eef Lillemor whale backpack

9. Bigstuffed Grandma Giant Whale

10. Whale swim trunks

nununu – back to school

nununu back to school

If there is one big topic for families over the summer than the name is: Back to School!

I know some of you are not on their summer break yet but we, for example, will actually go back in 4 weeks. Already!
Which means that a check is needed. Backpacks still ok (I heard that some families do buy a whole set of new backpacks for every school year. It never crossed my mind. It seems some kind of ‘tradition’, especially in the US, I believe. What about you? I feel that a new backpack is necessary when the old one is not doing its job anymore… regardless Back to School… but hey, only my two cents), water bottles have lids and so, PE shoes are still good etc…

One of my all time favourite brands, nununu, added some really good stuff to their Back to School collection for this year. Next to the clothing you can also find black notebooks with the typical skull or star print, lunchboxes and drinking bottles. And then you pack everything in your cool ninja backpack and you are ready to go.

All new styles and accessories are in store now and create a comfortable Back to School collection for boys and girls up to age 14. My two ninjas were lucky to try some of the styles as well as the accessories.

NUNUNU is a brand they know very well. And they do enjoy wearing it very much. So they were super keen to see the new products and try them immediately.

So, it is all tested and approved. And we are ready, but first we will enjoy the last weeks before the routine is back. Which includes, rather last minute, two weeks in France with family.

Oh… and for the lunch boxes, I will just steal the text from nununu – because I have nothing to add:
‘Taking your lunch to school doesn’t mean you have to look like a nerd. this elegantly designed non toxic lunchbox features a microwave-safe insert with compartments that keeps courses separate. Baby carrots don’t need to meet sandwiches under any condition, we get it. The outer sleeve keeps food cool or warm (and keeps you looking cool too)’

July is here! Summer is still here and we are following the World Cup, eating our weight in strawberries and dance a happy dance because it is Friday. I was away the two last week ends for trade show visits and I am so happy to spend the upcoming one with my crew.

But before I am sharing some cool stuff from around the world of kids design and fashion. Plus some goodies for mums and other great stuff. Hand picked, for you, with love!

d.nik kids shop look book

d.nik
During our shooting with Maru in April we also did a mini look book for a children’s boutique! A premiere. And it was so much fun and success that we definitely want to do it again during future shootings.

The children’s shop that we had on board is one Berlin’s top addresses when it comes to shopping for the little ones. And a store I have shared with you before: d.nik !

My first visit dates back to 2012 and then Jana was part of our Little Berlin pop up in 2014.

Jana is running a concept store and actually started with the aim to sell the best furniture and toys for your mini. Slowly adding fashion over the years. Today it does take up a very important part of the store. Thanks to her impeccable style and taste you can be sure to find a great selection of brands from all around the world. And then again – the best pieces from each – hand picked by d.nik.

As seen in the mini look book that we created and that represents the image of the shop beautifully – movement, freedom, childish and fun are the core of d.nik!

It was the first time that d.nik decided to do a shooting for the shop and we were very honoured to be the chosen team to realise the idea.

And when in Berlin:

boramiri

boramiri
Yesterday I came across Boramiri and their new collection. After a quick check I realised that my last article about this beautiful brand dates back to 2014. You can see it here.

Lots has happened since then and new adorable creations have seen the light of day. Definitely worth to dedicate a new spot here on the blog!

I love the creations from Bora Lee. So full of love and passion!

Illustrator, graphic artist and stylist. Mixing her Korean roots with the flair of her new home town: Paris. Dreamy, sweet and full of details. Boramiri stands for exquisite home accessories that definitely turn any space into a beautiful area.
