the best advent calendars
It is T H I S time of the year again – Advent Calendar time. One of my favourite periods. {if you follow this blog for a while you already know that so I will not bore you with my excitement when it comes to Advent Calendars}.

For this year I tried to find some new styles for you and I hope you like them. Please also have a look at the list from last year and when you use the search function a whole world will open up…

The one above is from Betsy Benn!
A lovely paper advent calendar featuring 25 {in the UK Santa comes on the 25th} shaped Kraft pockets of Santa and his Reindeer flying through stars and clouds. Each pocket is individually cut and stitched with an opening left for you to add your Advent treats. All the shapes are numbered from 1-25, with the last number {25} on Santa himself and will happily survive more than one Christmas with a little care given to use and storage.

This handmade, advent calendar box from Bombus is one of my favourites. Personalise it on the lid and bring it out every Christmas.  The box has 25 sections for you to fill with your own treats or gifts. You can choose to add 25 linen bags to the product or simply tissue wrap your 25 little parcels yourself.

This is a fun and cheeky kind of advent calendar, I especially love the stripy socks!
A ring for each of the 24 days leading up to Christmas. Simply tie a string around each of your December gifts/treats/notes and tie the string through the gold loops.

And something special to finish off that list – a beautiful Keepsake baby’s first Christmas calendar!
Remember special moments and occasions in the run up to your baby’s first ever Christmas.

Each day there is a little compartment for parents to note little anecdotes. The calendar can be personalised however you like.
{ it actually does not have to say first Christmas making it a suitable gift for toddlers and older children who may want to write in it themselves … like a little Christmas diary}

Looking for ideas on what to hide in the calendar? What about:

A small chocolate, little box of raisins, a good wish for the day or a silly Christmas joke. Tiny Lego figures or small rubbers and paperclip packs. Small books, glitter glue, hair clips or a clementine…
