Little Fashion Week is over!

Last week end in Brussel the 1st edition came to life and I will show you my highlights during the next days.

Little Fashion Week is a new trade show in the kids fashion & design industry talking to smaller labels that care about our world, production and us. To make our lifes and houses more beautiful. The fair hosts several fashion shows and, new concept, opens to the public on the last day.
Brands have the chance to sell their current and/or older collections and get in touch with people who actually buy and wear their designs.
It is also the possibility to open the universe a little more for non professionals and show that there is more than the high street.

Many people asked me how I liked it during the show and even before I had a rather fair amount of people who asked me for feedback. Please do not forget that this is MY opinion and that I am neither a designer nor a buyer. I am a kids fashion lover and blogger!

Here we go.
What I really liked:

The stunning location! Wow!
Beautiful big space with personality {this picture gives you a good idea} and lots of daylight.

High quality exhibitors with beautifully decorated booths.

Great and well decorated lounge and play area.

Nice food.

Very creative and inspiring catwalk/fashion shows.

What I did not like so much:

It was not very busy in terms of visitors. A shame. On Sunday it was better and it changed everything. People around, talking, looking etc… it is different. No question about that.

For some exhibitors that was a big problem and they were very open about that. Which is fine to a certain degree however nobody should forget to respect people around you. {and this is what I did not like}

It was the very first edition and everyone will learn from mistakes but this show has very big potential!
Making the best out of an experience should always be the main priority {I think} and you know… going to a big show with many more visitors does not automatically mean that your work will sell like warm bread! Just my 2 cents…

So yes… all together I enjoyed being there. I had fun and met great people.

As far as I am informed the next edition is planned for beginning February 2015 and with the things the team learned from this time… I am very positive and looking forward to it!
