You need to see and touch these beautiful hand knitted treasuries from Mormor to really understand how special they are but because that’s not always possible we can thank the very talented Monika Elena for taking these beautiful photos. So soft, cosy and special!

Mormor consists of a team of local knitting grannies { Mormor means “grandmother” in Danish} and Nina, the founder, adapted old knitting techniques to contemporary taste.
All of the clothes are made according to fair-trade principles and of high quality, natural materials.
Everything is hand-knit in natural yarns such as alpaca, wool and cotton.

A very personal gift for a newborn or Christmas/ Birthday gift for older children. A warm sweater that can last all winter {and in some regions possibly over the summer as well}, and which can be passed down from child to child.

Another detail: Look at this cardigan, notice the “flat” shoulders? Looks a bit funny on the picture right? Kids just love it because it is so comfortable – no “bulky edges” but easy to wear.

Mormor is available here.
