On the premises of a urban art gallery in fashionable Mayfair, during London Fashion Week September 12, a new and emerging fashion brand invited friends, associates and press for launch of their latest collection, lunch and networking. We had lunch served around large round finely laid tables and without further ado, the show kicked off! Gorgeous children, dressed in That’s Not Fair collection for Autumn Winter 2012, paraded and danced through the room to the beat of funky music.
It was truly a treat to be there, such a lovely event. But perhaps even more so, we were all left impressed by the utterly beautiful pieces in the collection!
First discovered at CPH kids, these sophisticated tailored children clothes really fill a gap in the market, in between the traditional pink and blue, several high street labels, the colourful and funky and the more upscale formal apparel. In fact sourcing fabrics and researching in tailoring techniques is the key to the success of this British made London based brand. In terms of quality and sustainability That’s Not Fair are consciously creating clothes with concern for the alarming trend for disposable fashion. The emphasis is on introducing desirable clothing to children that encourages their emerging sense of style, and avoiding the defined. The style is inspired by Victorian times, known for fine attention to detail and quality. Yet with modern tailoring techniques the pieces feels not only luxurious but also most contemporary.
