Since 2003 Rock en Seine is growing. It is a 3 day rock festival, held at Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris.
It is the festival at which Oasis split up on the 28th August 2009 after Liam and Noel Gallagher had a fight just before they were due to headline the main stage.
Every year people dance to different sounds like Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, Beck, Morcheeba, Keziah Jones, Muse (I love!!!) or Arcade Fire (see the line up for this year here).
This year Rock on Seine will be on stage on 27, 28 and 29 August – starting at 2pm every day.
Oh... when I was young (hahaha) I spent my summers travelling from one festival to the other. We have lots in Germany from huge to tiny, mainstream to death metal, sunshine to rain... it was a great time!
So it is good to know that Mini Rock en Seine exists. A festival dedicated to kids aged between 6 and 10 with rock gigs for children, creative workshops and recreative animations (guitar lessons, graphic design, dance) without parents… because they enjoy the big event next door.
As soon as you will arrive, a tour of the Mini Rock en Seine will be done with your child and afterwards we will thank you to go back to the “adult” festival area.
And it is for free when an adult has got a ticket for the festival.
The people looking after your kids are professionals working with children all year.
